Of another kind asked: Or, should we purchase travel insurance from CSA for $84 each? I just called Aetna, and they cover any medical related emergencies that we may encounter. Cruise ship’s infirmaries are out of network, so my plan covers me at 75% after a deductible. If I need an emergency room visit, then that would be covered at 100% after a $75 deductible.
Maybe a better question is, if we should get travel insurance, how does CSA stack up against TravelGuard, Insuremytrip, and others?

The fear we have is that if his mission gets extended, and we are not able to go (which has happened to other units that are over there with his unit right now). We are weary of travel insurances, as they normally do not cover this. Does anyone know if Carnival will give us a credit for our cruise for us to go later on? Also, what about airlines (we will most likely fly Delta)? If we don’t get refundable tickets, is there a way to turn them into a credit, kind of like Southwest does? I think we can just get a hold on a hotel room but not be obligated to pay unless we cancel less than 24 hours before we are supposed to stay. Anyone with any experience in this?

How do I go about getting them health insurance so unexpected health concerns don’t ruin them, they can get their prescriptions filled w/o paying an arm and a leg, etc?
Are there specialized US insurance companies that offer insurance to non-residents that’s worth anything? I don’t need the gimmicky travel insurance that won’t cover anything or require outrageous deductibles and paperwork sent to some tax haven country … I need a reliable US insurer who can be found, operates under laws of US, has customer service who can explain their policies, etc.

A U.S government collection agency are now down my back and want to take me to court. I know I will loose if it does go to court and I will be left with a bigger debt. What will happen if I go to court, what will happen if its just impossible for me to pay it? can they make me sell assets to pay for it? what would you do in my situation and can you think of any way out of it?
