European car insurance?

Hi

I am nearing the end of college, me and a few friends are planning to go on a euro trip from 18th august to 18th september.

I am 18 and have a full UK driving licence, i would like to know if I need insurance while travelling abroad for a month or if UK insurance (Endsleigh) will cover me.

If i need to purchase an aditional policy where could i get one?

    If you already have a car in the UK and it’s insured, you’re covered within the EEC, but only third party…best up the insurance you have, or do you mean to hire a car ? If so you’ll need their insurance.

    By law you’ll be covered anywhere you go within Europe.. you’ll be surprised to find that there are no borders, no checks, unlike when coming back to the UK.
    However some UK insurers insist that you let them know, so that they can sting you some money. This is questionable but they do it.
