I’m starting a quiet zone consulting firm out of my home. Consisting of myself (the professional) and my daughter (the secretary, partner, and assistant). Do i need to be bonded? Since a majority of my clients would not be visiting my home office. As i will need to travel to them, to inspect the quiet zone in question.

I have an opportunity to take a trip to Hawaii, all expenses paid. The flight is about 6 1/2 hours long and I would be flying out at 31 weeks and back at 32 weeks.

My doctor gave me the go ahead and wrote me a letter saying I’m fit to travel until 34 weeks but she cautioned me that if I go into preterm labor I could be stuck in Hawaii.
What would you do?
How much money would I need to travel around the U.S for a year?
Wednesday, October 14th, 2009Jermaine asked:
I wanted to take a year and just travel the U.S. I was wondering if anyone who has had any experience with this or just has a general idea, would be able to give me a ball park estimate for this. I know this can get pricey, but im still trying to keep the expenses to a minimal ( suggestions on that too)

Do any airlines offer discounted tickets for children?
Sunday, October 11th, 2009Dee asked:
I know just a couple of years ago you could get a child’s ticket 1/2 price with some airlines. Are there any out there that do that anymore for US travel? I’m trying to go from NY to MO prices are outragous for July! Any suggestions? I’ve got to go during the week of the 4th but can stay longer than a week if cheaper.
thanks

Should I keep my job or travel?

For the past year I’ve been planning a backpacking trip through South America for 4 months, beginning in June. I just gave my boss the heads up (despite the possibility that I won’t get a bonus for 1st quarter because I’m leaving. I just thought it was the right thing to do.) Anyways, he responded by saying that while it sounds like fun, he thinks it’s a foolish plan. He said that I need to let him know by the end of the week if I still intend to go, and if so, he wants me out NOW, not in June. This means not only will I not get the bonus of $2,500 I earned, but I will not get those paychecks i was counting on. Anyways here are some other specs of the situ:
I’m 28 and I make $40K/yr as a discount furniture store manager. I’m not crazy about the job, but it is good money for my age and these economic times. I had completely decided to go, but him forcing me out throws a monkey wrench into my plans. Can he do that? Is that legal to fire someone for giving notice? Should I change my plans? Should I lie to him and say I’ll stay, then tell him I’m going 2 weeks before? Or should I just tell him I’m going and that’s that? (I do have enough saved up to go now, but I was planning on more.) Thanks for your time!
